Pam Covington is a film director and writer who tells stories where real, grounded characters find themselves in strange and imaginative worlds. Inspired by classic science fiction and a splash of dark humor, Pam’s work often explores the weird with heart and a twist of wit. 

 

She earned her MFA in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts and a BA in Theatre from the University of Southern California. Her short films, SPACE FLOWER and LOVE IT, both premiered at Fantastic Fest, her pilot script SELECTION was a semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival, and her most recent project, feature screenplay MESA, is a 'Featured Project' on the Black List website. 

 

Pam also writes and hosts THE PARALLEL-O-VERSE, a darkly funny sci-fi anthology podcast full of original stories from parallel universes. Her work invites audiences into unexpected worlds where the surreal feels surprisingly human.
